CRANSTON, R.I., February 1, 2023 – Mearthane Products Corporation (MPC) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Merritt Precision Technology (MPT), a manufacturer and service provider of polyurethane components used in semiconductor manufacturing based in Apex, North Carolina. The purchase of MPT follows the company’s strategic acquisitions of Precision Elastomers Inc. (PEI), of Ipswich, MA, in December 2022, Snyder Plastics (SPI), of Bay City, MI, in May 2022, and Polyurethane Molding Industries (PMI), of Woonsocket, R.I., in 2020.

MPT specializes in recoating and regrooving services for high-precision polyurethane wire guide rollers and other polyurethane wire guide components used in critical operations in the semiconductor and solar industries. “MPT strengthens our position in the growing semiconductor and solar energy sectors,” said Pete Kaczmarek, CEO of MPC. “Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility broadens our wide range of molding and machining capabilities.”

Dennis Merritt, President and Owner of MPT, will work closely with the MPC team to ensure a smooth transition for customers and employees. Dennis and his wife Janet founded MPT in 1992 and have grown the business to become a key partner to leading companies in the semiconductor and solar industry.
